The Canby WWTF consists of improvements to several areas of the existing headworks. This includes new gratings and catwalks, replacing existing Pista grit removal system, installing two new spiral screens with hoist and trolley, a new ventilation system, flow channel modifications and a new corrosion resistant coating to current wet well. We are also upgrading the system from a fixed speed pump controls to a new VFD control system, installing an open metal walled building over the grit removal equipment. Additional miscellaneous work includes replacing 6” plug valves throughout the site, constructing a shallow 48” wet well, pump for secondary clarifier scum, and construct a jib crane system for internal recirculation pumps. Furthermore, this project includes expanding the effluent disk filter, rehabilitating the Biosolids Dewatering Building and ventilation system and installing new weirs and baffles on the secondary clarifiers.
