The Chambers Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant provides wastewater management, collection and treatment services to about 252,000 customers who generate an average of 19 million gallons of wastewater per day.
The project expands the facility as a whole and upgrades its process and technology to meet the demands of the growing population. The expansion includes new digester-gas fueled steam boilers and two additional anaerobic digesters which will increase production of methane gas used for electricity.
