This project, located near Pier 70 on the Alaskan Way Waterfront in Seattle, WA, included removal wood facing on the seawall, steel sheet pile, installation of precast concrete habitat panels and troughs, and moving the existing and replacing the rip rap. Included in this project was the precasting of a total of nineteen reinforced concrete marine habitat seawall panels, in seven different face configurations. The panels were installed with the intent of determining which of the seven types of panels were most ecologically advantageous.
